GRA position in Graduate School


The Graduate School is seeking to fill an open 12-month Graduate Research Assistantship position that includes a tuition and fee waiver, health insurance, and stipend.  The position requires a currently enrolled graduate student in good standing who is able to commit 20-hours per week to the assignment.  Duties include the following:  conducting library/computer research for materials in support of the work of the Graduate School; assisting with the preparation of materials for meetings, conferences and workshops; participating as needed in graduate and career fair recruitment; data collection and analysis; and working on other assignments as needed for projects developed by the Dean.

Strong oral and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and attention to detail, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel are required.  Proficiency with PowerPoint and SharePoint are preferred skills.  Interested applicants should submit a cover letter, a resume, and contact information for 3 references to Ms. Millie Cheatham, Office Manager, Graduate School, 111 Student Services.  Electronic submissions may be sent to mcheatha@utk.edu .  Preferred start date is August 17, 2016.  The application deadline is Monday, August 8, 2016.
