Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position Lecturer/Senior Lecturer

Position: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Non-tenure track, 10 month appointment)

Primary Responsibilities: Provide highest quality instruction in the undergraduate departmental core courses. Teach courses in the areas of Outdoor Recreation, Parks, and Human Ecology; Public, Nonprofit, and Community Recreation; Recreational Sport Management; Recreational Therapy; and Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management. Provide leadership in service learning offerings within the core courses as well as building relevant community and industry partnerships. Provide service to the department, institution, and profession. Create and maintain direct relationships with scholarly and professional institutions and organizations. Lead recruitment activities of undergraduate and graduate students as well as professionals who seek advanced education degree.

Qualifications: A Master’s degree is required, an earned doctorate is desired. Demonstrated record of teaching excellence, curriculum development, and student engagement required. Evidence of professional engagement and field based experience related to recreation, parks, tourism, or leisure behavior to human health and well-being.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
